Technology creates income inequalities

I found this article that argues that the increase in technology is attributing to the gap in income between college and non-college educated people. The technology companies are creating a higher demand for skilled workers and less of a demand for non-skilled workers. Therefore, these companies tend to locate themselves in very few cities in which the number of skilled workers tend to be very high. They say that these technology sectors could explain income inequalities across a metropolitan area.
