The article that I found argues that technology is increasing income inequality. New technology requires more skills and education which are often times impossible for low income people to obtain. The article shows that inequality is growing in developing areas of Europe, Latin America, and other countries with increasing technology. Inequality has actually declined in areas with stable technology such as sub-Saharan Africa. The article says that increasing education and worker skills is key to lessening inequality.

Hi Will. Are they any more specific? Do they talk about certain technologies? If so, how exactly do they contribute to inequality? Who is or what is disadvantaged?
ReplyDeleteThis article does not mention a specific technology. Its main point is that low income people have less access to technology and this lack of information technology is widening the gap between the rich and poor.
